Thanks to Barry Robson from Cumbria for providing this extensive list of his sightings whilst staying here at The Boathouse. The following were seen without much effort, mostly whilst walking up the river bank, between 18th and 24th May 2008:

On Sunday 8th June 2008, Wilf Marten from Kent

caught the first two seabass of the season here at Quayside

Yes, it's a bat. Spotted by Alison Thomas at Bawdsey in July 2008.

Thanks to Chris Poole from Hertfordshire for this sighting of our resident seal, taken during his stay in August 2008.

17th September 2008 a pair of osprey watched by Barbara and David Guthrie of West Sussex. Seen from the river footpath at Waldringfield and thought to be an adult teaching a juvenile to fish.

During the early hours of Saturday 16th May 2009, Ged watched a family of six otters at play and fishing on the waters edge at Quayside. He could have woke me!
